refined drawing and painting skills were the result of

an applied arts background,

which led to a continual love of art history and technique.

from this, Marie degeorge art was formed.

the subject lives on forever in a painting or a drawing

and provides a through-line across time and space

directly to the mind and spirit of an artist.

art provides a connection between people, an inspiration or a thought,

a return to a memory, a simple moment of reflection, and, sometimes,

a catalyst for change.

quite simply, all of my work is a record of a time and a place

which has been part of my life and has inspired me.

my hope is to offer some of what I have created and, in so doing,

share this inspiration with others.
